The halter has fallen to the tack room floor,
The saddle dusty, used no more,
Of noble bearing by his heritage’s might,
Now taken by winter’s mortal blight,
Faithful companion of High Sierra trail,
Now roams heaven’s fields with flickering tail,
Soon you will find him among night’s eastern stars,
Standing proudly, your Tydular.
