A hitched horsehair belt is the most prize piece of art work that a hitcher can create. Because of the size and complicated nature of hitched horsehair the belt is like a blank canvas. There are unlimited possibilities for creating custom designs. The examples that I show here were created with both natural colors and dyed horsehair. I can create a design of your choice using any combination of colors. Belts can come with a plain ranger style belt buckle or you can use your own custom buckle. If you are using your own I recommend sending the buckle and I will have it attached to the finished belt. Prices vary depending on the belt width and length. |

The 1" belt width is a standard size for a women's belt. Belts are hitched over a round dowel and then later pressed flat. The entire belt front and back are hitched horsehair. 1" wide |

There is a leather billet that is attached to both ends of the hitched horsehair. One side attaches the buckle and the other side is a tapered end with the belt holes. If you are using a ranger set the buckle side will also have a keeper and the other end will have a tip.

| All of the art work that you see on this web site is custom crafted by myself. I don't have people working for me making these items. Every thing is done by hand by me. Because there's only one of me I have to schedule work as it comes in on a first come first serve basis. Larger hitched pieces like belts, quirts, hatband's and dog collars are considered a large project and require a lot more time then some of my other art work. Please be patient and allow 3 or more months for a large project. This belt is made all natural colors. The base color is Flaxen and the Design Colors are Black & White. |

This belt was made with a natural brown for the background color. I used natural white and black in the design color as well as a cactus green and golden yellow that where dyed colors.
