Memory Box

The memory box is made of the same old barn wood as the picture frames. The lid of the box is a picture frame that has a groove cut into it to place a custom made horsehair braid. The braid can be made from your special horse's tail hair or I can use tail hair that I have here. If you are sending hair for the braid please send only tail hair that is a minimum of 18" long. I will need about two finger widths of tail hair for this project.

The outside dimensions of the box are
9 1/2" x 7 1/2" x 3 1/2" and holds a
standard 5x7 picture behind glass in
the lid of the box.

Each frame has a corner concho that is available in your choice of designs. Below shows a detail of each design. The conchos are all approximately 1" to 1 1/4" and are made of pewter. The accent colored pieces are inlaid beads.

All of the art work that you see on this web site is custom crafted by myself. I don't have people working for me making these items. Every thing is done by hand by me. Because there's only one of me I have to schedule work as it comes in on a first come first serve basis. If you are interested in having me custom craft a special memento just for you please allow 6 to 8 weeks for your item to be completed. Larger items can take longer.
