This necklace is approximately 17" long. The necklace is made of an 8 strand braid of horsehair. There are two round balls that hold the center charm in place. Because the charm is hung separately you can replace it with a charm of your choice if you like. It comes with a two sided heart charm made of pewter that has a horseshoe on one side and a heart on the other side. I also have a bracelet design and earrings that compliments this necklace and make a very nice set.
