These picture frames are made of old barn wood. The frame has a groove cut into it to place a custom made horsehair braid. The braid can be made from your special horse's tail hair or I can use tail hair that I have here. If you are sending hair for the braid please send only tail hair that is a minimum of 18" long. I will need about two finger widths of tail hair for this project.

Each frame has a corner concho that is available in your choice of designs. Below shows a detail of each design. The conchos are all approximately 1" to 1 1/4" and are made of pewter. The accent colored pieces are inlaid beads. |
